Community Fridge
Take what you need, give what you can
The Community Fridge is a self-service community fridge located at Poole Community Exchange. It’s stocked with surplus food donated by local businesses and residents—available to anyone.
🥦 How It Works
- Open during Poole Community Exchange’s main opening hours (view the About page for more info)
- Take what you need, when you need it
- No referrals, sign-ups, or restrictions
- Food is free and rescued from going to waste
Every year, tonnes of food go to waste—while people in our town go hungry. The Community Fridge helps reduce waste and build a stronger, more sustainable community.
🤝 Who Can Use It?
Everyone is welcome—whether you’re short on food, trying to reduce waste, or just need a quick meal. It’s here for the community, and run by the community. The Fridge is regularly restocked with fresh produce, bread, ready meals, and more—depending on what’s donated.
📍 Where to Find It
Just ask one of our colleagues and they will point it out for you.
